The Public Services Network (PSN) has a vision of standardised networks across the Public Sector, delivering full interoperability, market-leading service levels and substantial cost savings. While highly desirable, to achieve these standards requires a level of resource, commitment and experience from the Public Sector client that may no longer be readily available in-house.

Our managed service contracts deliver significant benefits and added value to the process of managing the PSN contractor — whilst ensuring you remain in control.

After joining a PSN, there are four main phases, all fully supported as part of our contract managed service.

Phase 1 – Scoping

Open discussion and evaluation of the true requirements of the client in the future; challenging both the contractor and the client to agree a service that is deliverable and fit for purpose. At the end of the Scoping Phase, a contract will be in place to deliver the specific requirements of the client.

Phase 2 – Implementation & Transition

Syntech will liaise with contractor throughout Phase 2, handling issues as they arise and limiting the resource needed from the client. We ensure processes work in practice, risks are managed and plans are delivered and kept. Our technical management will ensure a smooth transition from old to new networks and our experienced engineers oversee acceptance testing on behalf of the client.

Phase 3 – Service Delivery Contract Management

Retaining the external resource used through the earlier stages of the project allows the continuity of both knowledge and relationships to be maintained. This helps in issue resolution and amendments throughout the life of the contract.

Phase 4 – Exit Management

This ensures that the PSN Contract is brought to a planned and managed termination, allowing for an orderly and effective transition to a future replacement contract.
