Syntech is enhancing its market leading Airwave CDR (Call Detail Records) Analysis and Reporting Tool for the Airwave Tetra network with two new analysis modules.

The first module is a powerful new Billing Module for auditing Airwave's charging mechanism which now encompasses data from both Voice and Data Service CDRs. Users can easily analyse and report the key billing parameters of Busy Hour, 90 day rolling average and peak 90 day rolling average. This helps them deliver an efficent and cost effective service.

The new Data Service Analysis Module provides an even greater level of analysis and reporting capabilty. It provides all the information managers and decision makers need to optimise their use of the Airwave Data Service. They can now access the usage of status messages, SDS messages and, soon, IP ssessions. Understanding how data is being used and charged for enables costs to be minimised, data applications to be assessed and the total Airwave Service to be managed in the most efficient way.

The modules were exhibited at BAPCO 2010.

TETRA World Congress 2008

Syntech go to TETRA World Congress 2008.

Syntech's Dr Brian Williams and Bob Reed of Suffolk Police presented a seminar entitled 'Managing Incidents Using TETRA'.

The presentation concentrated on keeping essential communcications going throughout an incident. Dr Williams and Bob Reed used a recent case study to illustrate how TETRA responded to a sudden and dramatic increase in users. The presentation showed how TETRA expanded to accommodate far greater usage than previous analogue systems.

The presentation also highlighted the importance of understanding your TETRA network in order to gain optimum user benefits. The IFPM Tool was of particular interest to clients who are keen to verfiy correct performance of voice and data services.

The IFPM Tool has been purchased to measure service quality and coverage for the C2000 Tetra network in the Netherlands. Marketing Director Lucy Adams of Syntech Systems says: "I think there is great potential for a Tool such as IFPM to do well throughout Europe. We are already working on several IFPM add ons and components to make the Tool as flexible as possible."
