Syntech is enhancing its market leading Airwave CDR (Call Detail Records) Analysis and Reporting Tool for the Airwave Tetra network with two new analysis modules. 

The first module is a powerful new Billing Module for auditing Airwave's charging mechanism which now encompasses data from both Voice and Data Service CDRs. Users can easily analyse and report the key billing parameters of Busy Hour, 90 day rolling average and peak 90 day rolling average. This helps them deliver an efficent and cost effective service. 

The new Data Service Analysis Module provides an even greater level of analysis and reporting capabilty. It provides all the information managers and decision makers need to optimise their use of the Airwave Data Service.They can now access the usage of status messages, SDS messages and, soon, IP ssessions. Understanding how data is being used and charged for enables costs to be minimised, data applications to be assessed and the total Airwave Service to be managed in the most efficient way.

The modules were exhibited at BAPCO 2010.

Coverage Prediction Comparison

Syntech’s Coverage Prediction Comparison Service uses a powerful computer algorithm to compare two sets of coverage predictions. The output is a series of detailed maps identifying the differences between the predictions accurate to 1 pixel in 15 Million! The service has been developed in response to demand from several clients who wanted a quick, easy and reliable method of comparing coverage prediction plots. 

A powerful and innovative comparison algorithm identifies all changes between two coverage prediction plots down to the 100m by 100m resolution of the original predictions (equivalent to spotting one change in 15 million!). Detailed output maps are able to highlight these differences allowing you to make a swift assessment of the impact on your coverage.

Results are provided in a series of colour coverage maps. The Base Map shows all the areas where predicted coverage has changed while a Delta Map reveals the changes to the predicted coverage. For example:

  • Hand Portable coverage
  • Vehicle Coverage
  • Uplift areas e.g +5dB/+15dB

Each Delta Map shows the predicted coverage for that class, together with any changes.

For example, the +15 dB Enhancement Delta Map shows the original areas where +15 dB Enhanced coverage was predicted, together with the current prediction for those areas – ie you can see where coverage has been increased or reduced.

Similarly, the Hand Portable Delta Map shows the original areas where Hand portable coverage was predicted, together with current predictions – ie where coverage has increased (to +5 dB or +15 dB) or reduced (to Vehicle).
