Syntech is enhancing its market leading Airwave CDR (Call Detail Records) Analysis and Reporting Tool for the Airwave Tetra network with two new analysis modules.

The first module is a powerful new Billing Module for auditing Airwave's charging mechanism which now encompasses data from both Voice and Data Service CDRs. Users can easily analyse and report the key billing parameters of Busy Hour, 90 day rolling average and peak 90 day rolling average. This helps them deliver an efficent and cost effective service.

The new Data Service Analysis Module provides an even greater level of analysis and reporting capabilty. It provides all the information managers and decision makers need to optimise their use of the Airwave Data Service. They can now access the usage of status messages, SDS messages and, soon, IP ssessions. Understanding how data is being used and charged for enables costs to be minimised, data applications to be assessed and the total Airwave Service to be managed in the most efficient way.

The modules were exhibited at BAPCO 2010.

In-Life Service Monitoring

Service as the user sees it

The Syntech in-life service monitor is unique in that it captures and reports the true radio service a user experiences when going about their normal job. By collecting measurements from the terminal, a record of coverage and service is logged wherever the terminal is used including within buildings, pedestrian areas, car parks*, etc.

Non-intrusive measurements

The in-life service monitor consists of a low overhead application installed on the user’s Airwave terminal which locally records position and behaviour such as call set-up failure, no service etc. The application requires minimal processing and memory to operate and is These data records are periodically transmitted over SDS to a central server located at the control where they are collated for subsequent off-line analysis and reporting.

* requires GPS enabled Tetra terminal
