A new venture in telecommunications consultancy. Founded in 2002, the company has already made an impact and offers a wide range of services to clients in the fixed and mobile telecommunications market. Syntech works with both network providers and end users to ensure that the best possible communications service is provided, matched to the users’ operational needs. The company has a particular emphasis on the Emergency Services Sector and the support of the TETRA-based mmO2 Airwave Service. Syntech provides an in-depth knowledge of the Airwave Service and the supporting technologies, such as control room systems, terminal equipment and peripherals. Syntech also understands the operational issues surrounding the Airwave Service and how users need to configure and use it to best support their operational requirements. Syntech is already supporting Police Forces such as City of London, Essex, Merseyside, Nottinghamshire, Sussex, West Midlands and West Mercia. Formerly, Syntech consultants have also assisted Police Forces such as Greater Manchester and British Transport Police as well as PITO and HMFSI. Syntech have also worked with several ambulance trusts in the UK and internationally, including Melbourne Ambulance Trust (MAS). We also provide consultancy services and training for UK and Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Services. Syntech’s two founders are Simon Orbell and Dr Brian Williams. Both Simon and Brian have extensive track records as consultants within the telecommunications and PMR industry, having worked in the past for companies such as Mott MacDonald, Smith Group (Detica), TCI Ltd, Marconi and Philips. Syntech also works with several associate consultants and partner organisations to make a full range of skills and solutions available to tackle any assignment. For example, Syntech is a founder member of The Quality Alliance, an organisation made up of like-minded consultancies focused on providing high-quality telecommunications networks.
